Remembered Wellness

I really focus and laugh and relax:

Hold the ‘angry baby’ of me,

sooth and hear what is it she is saying.

get the words out, hear the real emotion

and the words I say without censor.

And then I cry and then I laugh and cry again,

and when I come back to normal breathing

to come back to the picture with deeper and better feeling

if it returns at all, repeated, as many times as needed.

The wordless emotions of pictures connected to nerve endings no longer a mine field.

It can surprise you while it’s happening, but preparation and set mental intention

make the emotion my friend, like a child’s trust for their mom will be heard,

I return in time to my breath, showing my peace of mind.

Ignition

Dream and desire a certain way with certainty and you can HAVE it.

Old Car to New Old Car: This is a little story of the application of abundant thought to creating a new auto. In short, this is how I made my new car happen!

I am a fan of the Volvo 240GL car โ€“ it is a very unique and beautiful car to me, and I have already owned four! My current 240 was classic and beautiful, had deep sentimental value, and ran like a champ.

But 3 years ago, a motorcycle hit and run damaged its side, and my energetic pleasure for this car decreased when I looked at it. The quotes for body work alone were more than it cost!

I was learning to ‘drive’ the idea of a new book for creating abundant situations in daily life, and chose to test its efficacy with my car situation.

In meditation, I realized that I looked and thought about it in a continual state of dissatisfaction. I did not want to feel this way about this car, which was great in every other way.

So I began to really love the heck out of this car just the way it was, seeing memories of its dependability and protection in my mind, memories of washing and cleaning it, happy moments driving in the beauty of nature, and talking with loved ones,

saying that it would resolve itself in an even better way than I can imagine, and most importantly, leaving it alone, and not dwelling in doubt that my desire would be granted in its own Divine order.

I have since worded this to accept it as already as having happened, and already mine.

I blessed the situation with this confidence and abundance mindset for four months to see a change in the situation. It happened in a way I did not predict.

The Fourth of July saw a rash of gunfire in the area where I was visiting, and my rear car window was shot out by a stray bullet. No auto glass places, even the ones famous for older models, could find a window for it.

I lost my mind a little in the energy of โ€˜fixing itโ€™ โ€“ activity that often makes things more expensive or worse! โ€“ searching want ads, frustrated at the communications with strangers, while dealing with the realities of errands without a car.

I had to speak what I desired into effect. Aloud, in writing, in dancing, in WILL.

Now with sanity restored, I looked at the photographs of my car and thanked it

for itsโ€™ years of dependable, safe operation, the memories driving loved ones, and its dependability, wishing its next owner years of pleasure and safety in driving it.

I then began to describe in detail a beautiful auto of the same style that had been well cared for, and would be a stable, good running vehicle for myself and my family.

And let it go again.

The changes happened the next day. My searches led to a new auto website, and the details of an estate sale car lovingly cared for came on the market four days ago!

Within a week this lovely gold 240 was mine!

From stating my desire to seeing it at home my next new car took about 6 months (when you really do this often, this change occurs more quickly.)

It is exactly what I desired, and I enjoy it even more, knowing it was generated and manifested in this manner. Now she even has her own name (RaeJeanne) and her own Instagram (called Volvocago)!

Now the car is driving on the streets of Chicago, in addition to safety, I put an invocation over its origination and manifestation that everyone who has seen, learned of, or drives past my car would get good energy.

Good gratitude habits to send myself and everyone uplifted thoughts of abundance keep it shining as we travel into 2026 in grace and style.

DESIRE ENERGY FOR THE WIN.

My Lesson

In an unexpected feeling

a large wave of reacting emotion

I felt ‘coming on’ with velocity

crested but did not break.

In the midst of the feeling

my inner self said aloud,

“THIS is my lesson. THIS is my lesson.”

To stay awake in the face of quick angering,

to catch my reaction and choose another,

enabling a ‘aha’ so I could genuinely laugh at seeing it,

loving that I can regain my footing when I stumble,

control and have mastery over my feelings:

the gift of my manifesting life.

No matter how it started,

it turns into something better: my lesson.

AbunDance

The action of dancing

is our body’s inner communication with us,

and, deeper, a connection to the Divine in us.

Whether our glances or our bodies meet on the floor,

the dancer in me honors the dancer in you.

Share a Breath

Take time to hear someone’s voice from the inside.

Match your calm breathing

with the breathing of your partner,

and ‘share a breath’ in and out for a time of silence.

Not only does this calm emotions,

this action serves to ‘sync’ one’s heart with the other,

to humanize a connection,

and energize the space for a newer – or deeper – conversation.

It is my wish that you have enriching experiences

using this technique throughout moments in daily life.

The Beauty Way

In beauty I walk

With beauty before me I walk

With beauty behind me I walk

With beauty above me I walk

With beauty around me I walk

It has become beauty again

Today I will walk out,

today everything negative will leave me

I will be as I was before,

I will have a cool breeze over my body.

I will have a light body,

I will be happy forever, nothing will hinder me.

I walk with beauty before me.

I walk with beauty behind me.

I walk with beauty below me.

I walk with beauty above me.

I walk with beauty around me.

My words will be beautiful.

In beauty all day long may I walk.

Through the returning seasons, may I walk.

On the trail marked with pollen, may I walk.

With dew about my feet, may I walk.

With beauty before me, may I walk.

With beauty behind me, may I walk.

With beauty below me, may I walk.

With beauty above me, may I walk.

With beauty all around me, may I walk.

In old age wandering on a trail of beauty, lively, may I walk.

In old age wandering on a trail of beauty, living again, may I walk.

My words will be beautiful.

Better With Age

I have a studio photograph of my parents as a middle aged married couple,

a posed portrait with her best outfit on, leaning on my dad’s back,

both with pleasant, fixed smiles.ย

This is the same pose we always have of ourselves through school, printed in the yearbooks, and remembered by friends. ย

But years later the children have only these photographs to recall their fathers, mothers, and beloved partners. ย What is remembered of their sparkle and vitality?

It is no accident the photograph of my parents my sisters share the most is one of them as childhood sweethearts in their youth and energy,ย graceful in the naturalness of that candid, immediate moment. ย

And it is kismet that years later, I find it is the seed of my creative technique in my search to capture real emotions for the romantic parents I love to photograph.

It stems from my desire to capture livelier, more engaged and energized portraits of mothers and fathers, photographing parents as the childhood sweethearts and lifelong soulmates they are.

My portraits are moments between two people in love, showing tenderness and affection. Glowing from true feelings inside for life and each other.

This intimate portrait is a gift that keeps on giving.

Exposure

A bit of counter-intuition for friends, photographers, and everyone in between:

Don’t be so eager to photograph the daily treasured moments of your life

above all else.

To be in โ€˜pictures or it didnโ€™t happenโ€™ mode, twenty-four seven.

To be removed from the reality of interaction with family, children, experiences.

Take time to enjoy and feel the depth and beauty of what you witness.

Bring the energy of your presence – go quiet –

be fully there.

Even a second of this type of connecting brings this beautiful state of present energy to the photographer –

and within the photographs you create.โœจ

Tend Your Chicks

Chickens come home to roost, and so do your thoughts. Be careful what sort of thoughts you send out.

The thoughts you send out to others will have a far greater impact upon you than upon them.

Unlike a material possession, when you release a thought or give it to someone else, it also stays with you.

It may remain buried in your subconscious long after your conscious mind has forgotten about it.

Like chickens that return to the coop at night, such thoughts may flash into your consciousness when you least expect them.

When your thoughts are positive, you never have to worry about the damage you may do to yourself through negative thinking.

Cheerful, productive, happy thoughts that are buried in your subconscious bring positive results when they recur, and by their presence they encourage the maintenance of a positive attitude in all that you do.

This is a thought-energy selection from my favorite, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

I would love to help create and maintain positive energy in the home through intimate family and personal photography.
